So cool to see where #Google is going with #pmax campaigns in the U.S. currently! Advertisers are able to store a link to #3d models of their products within their #productfeed using the [virtual_model_link] attribute. Models can be created by utilizing tools like CGTrader, Epigraph, Ocavu and VNTANA. Users can interact with the #ads to experience the product via #augmentedreality. You want to see how a fancy piece of furniture fits into your living room? Well, now you can do it directly via your phone. That's one of the first practical implementations of #AR into #digitalmarketing campaigns with the potential to drive sales more immediately that I've become aware of and I'm excited to get my hands on it! As mentioned: This feature is currently only available to U. S. #advertisers within the #shoes and #homegoods" category. Do you already have access to it? And what were your experiences with it so far?

29. Boring number. Prime number. Nothing happens when it happens. Yawn. But my very first stand #handover was in 1995. A stand for the mighty Caudwell Phones, at mega electronics show Live ’95, in leaky Earls Court. It was scary. That’s 29 years ago. That’s more scary.Given my Tecna UK role fuses sales, design, and other cool stuff - it’s so interesting thinking back - and speaking to a few other #EventProfs who’ve similarly ‘done serious time’. Seeing what’s changed, and what’s not shifted at all.Design. 1995 was really the very beginning of CAD design. I genuinely remember the very first CAD visuals I presented, designed by Stephen Smith. It was just like seeing Marty’s hoverboard. Witchcraft..!Selling stuff. Everything was face to face. ‘If you wanna win, you gotta go in’. The primary selling levers were stability, pedigree and cost. Not sure ROI was really a consideration.Tech. My god, different world. The first 42” plasma screen I ever bought (for a customer) was £10k. Not even joking (although it did include a flight case). It weighed in at 70 billion KG.Digital Marketing. Didn’t really exist; and it is argued by many that it’s uptick since 2010 has made ‘real’ marketing lazier. But ‘smarter not harder’ only works, if you’re smart.Social media. Let’s just say that wasn’t a thing in 1995. If it was, it was crap.Visitor interactives – 1995 had some basic golf simulators, F1 cars you could sit in, the odd magician and if you were very lucky, a man dressed as Sonic.Modular. Now that’s an interesting one. The 1st Caudwell stand, so beautiful and curvaceous - was produced from Octanorm (actually Aluex, our in-house variant at Hayden).None of the main systems we now know and love (T3, BeMatrix, Aluvision, *others are available) weren’t even a glint in their mother’s eye.But Custom build and Modular were both as they are now; competing for airtime in customer conversations; albeit that debate was more based around cost than sustainable lifecycle. Materials. 5-bar treadplate was my favourite material, closely followed by laminated birch ply, brushed aluminium and that lovely Abet Laminati rusty-copper laminate. And bolts. I’ve always loved exposed bolts.ESSA was formed from the merger of BECA (British Exhibition Contractors Association) and the AEC (Association of Exhibition Contractors), and in 1995 I remember so well that the BECA bond was a badge of honour, spiral bound into the back of EVERY printed proposal and waved like a flag of quality (well by me, anyway). You use the tools you have, right? So is it possible to reasonably compare 1995 with 2024 in a fair way? What have I missed, ignored, or intentionally erased from my memory? I'm looking at you Stephan Murtagh, Mark Eddy, Mark Powell, Peter Bowen, Donald Browne, Paul Davies.29 is also the atomic number of copper by the way.
